I did this for three rounds and on the last round I gave it my all... pumping my stomach as fast as I possibly could... when I held my breath the final time, an immense amount of energy began circulating through my body, all the way to the crown of my head (which I had chosen to cover today with a beanie) and back down through my body... a sense of joy crept up through my whole being and swirled around my ajna chakra... making me smile and feel an immense amount of joy and peace. *sigh... it was such a blessing...
Throughout the rest of my practice I experienced the feelings of zen, joy, peace and happiness.... It permeated from my entire being.. out of my eyes... from my heart... in my smile. This morning was truly a gift.
I'm wide awake and waiting for the businesses around town to open so I can run some quick errands. Then I'm going to come home and practice my own flow for a while and then take my dogs for a hike... I'll probably make a light meal and then prepare for Kundalini Yoga at 5:30 p.m. with Hari Jap. I'm a little apprehensive that I'll end up being quite sore tomorrow from Kundalini Yoga tonight... but the promise of the possibility of experiencing Kundalini energy is worth any discomfort or soreness that might result from the intense poses we do... soooo... I'm going to go anyways... I'll just need to buy more Epsom salt and soak in the tub a little while longer this evening and maybe drink another 64 ounces of water today... if possible... and if I do end up really sore I'll just skip yoga classes, outside of sadhana, until I've recovered.
I'd like to share a verse with you from Swami Sivananda:
Eat a little, drink a little,
talk a little, sleep a little,
mix a little, move a little,
serve a little, rest a little,
work a little, relax a little,
study a little, worship a little,
do asanas a little, pranayama a little,
reflect a little, meditate a little,
do japa a little, chant a little,
write mantra a little, have satsang a little.
Love to you all.
